SMC Murcia 2025: Simulation as a Tool for Better Clinical Decision-Making

Technical expertise is essential in interventional cardiology. Equally important is knowing when and why to choose one treatment strategy over another.

With this objective, MInDSiTE participated in SMC Murcia 2025, bringing clinical simulation into an educational environment focused not only on technical skills but also on clinical reasoning and decision-making.

Through interactive clinical cases and simulated coronary bifurcation interventions, participants explored different therapeutic strategies and discussed the advantages of each approach with experienced faculty.

The small-group format encouraged active participation and continuous interaction, creating valuable opportunities to exchange perspectives, compare clinical reasoning, and learn from shared experience.

By recreating realistic cath lab scenarios in a safe environment, simulation enabled participants to evaluate different options before applying them in real clinical practice.

Through initiatives like this, MInDSiTE continues to promote an educational model that combines scientific knowledge, shared expertise, and clinical reasoning to support better-prepared interventional cardiologists.
