MInDSiTE participated in COMPLAC 2026, held in Salamanca on January 22–23, with an innovative virtual reality workshop focused on intracoronary imaging and coronary plaque assessment.

A new training experience at COMPLAC

COMPLAC, one of Spain's leading educational courses on coronary plaque modification, welcomed MInDSiTE's OCT VR Challenge, an interactive workshop designed to bring simulation into advanced interventional cardiology training.

The initiative offered participants the opportunity to practise Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) image interpretation through immersive virtual reality scenarios, exploring different coronary lesions and identifying morphological features relevant to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Putting OCT interpretation skills to the test

Accurate assessment of coronary plaque characteristics plays an essential role in planning complex interventions and selecting appropriate treatment strategies.

Through the OCT VR Challenge, participants engaged with different imaging scenarios, reinforcing their understanding of lesion morphology and its implications for procedural planning and optimisation.
