BHOC Madrid 2025: Learning Through Shared Experience

April 2025

In March 2025, MInDSiTE hosted a new edition of the Bifurcation Hands-On Course (BHOC) in Barcelona together with Abbott, further strengthening its simulation-based approach to education in interventional cardiology.

The course brought together interventional cardiologists from different hospitals in a highly interactive environment designed to encourage collaboration, discussion, and hands-on training.

Throughout the course, participants reviewed different treatment algorithms for coronary bifurcations and applied them using both physical and digital simulators that recreated realistic clinical scenarios.

One of the defining features of the BHOC program is its educational format. Small-group sessions encourage active participation, discussion, and collaborative analysis of every procedure, creating an environment where each clinical case becomes a valuable learning opportunity.

By combining scientific knowledge with shared clinical experience, this methodology strengthens decision-making and promotes a deeper understanding of complex coronary interventions.

Edition after edition, BHOC continues to consolidate an educational model where collaboration and active participation are at the heart of learning.
